Thank yous, OC Annals for the article on Canyon Walkers:

Laguna College of Fine art + Pattern's campus along Laguna Canyon Road might be like shooting fish in a barrel to miss if not for the three sculptures, twice life-size, out front. They don't have names, these three kneeling nude women with placid expressions, just they have been a landmark of sorts for the past ten years…

"The iii women sculptures have been a well-known fixture, but their time at LCAD's archway is done," [LCAD President, Jonathan] Shush said.

"Now the schoolhouse is a little more mature, and the new sculptures will reflect that," he said.

"This will just evidence actually how the college has grown, how the sculture department – what it's capable of doing at present. … It's their time to be replaced with something even more powerful, more than sublime."

If people miss the 3 ladies, "Hopefully, they'll encounter that the 'Walkers' are really more well-nigh the canyon than three demure seated women," Burke said. "They're tailored more than to a story nearly the Higher and the Coulee."
